I called the OCPS on this one.I' m pretty sure they'll do nothing about it as they are a nilly willy lazy police force.

Even with witnesses on hand, the officer just took my name, and no names of witnesses.He seemed "busy" and then left after saying that if anything comes of this threat, let them know.(Sure, i'll drag myself to a phone booth after being chopped up or something)

So, on with the story.

So, I am not quite sure of the guys name yet, could be Edes, but that is not important. He is recognizable, and made several threats in front of several witnesses on the main street of Woodstock yesterday at 2:30 pm.

He did say that he and Cliff had breakfast yesterday morning where I was discussed.

He voiced(well okay, screamed ...alot)his concern that "Cliff"(the developer who wants the land) was beside himself over this delay and that he would lose millions because of this archaeological dig and the resultant delay. He said "Cliff" was a "good guy" who has done more for Woodstock than anyone in recent memory and that he is 'beside himself" and is wanting me to back down.

I was told in no uncertain terms that if I went to the next council meeting on this subject, they would " cut my legs off and ram them down my fucking throat". He then reiterated his position that "Cliff" says "you're a dead man if you do show up".

I believe him...although I doubt it will be that old fucker that knocks on my door.(besides, if it is, I'd just pull his depends over his head and kick him in the nuts a few times)

Yes, I do believe that the developer is under massive stress, ( i would be too if i spent a whack of money on something only to realize I had done everything ass backwards)and is in fear of losing his shirt,and as well the shirts of a few of his friends.

He offered me a job on the Board of Sally Creek golf club if I pull my support for this movement to prevent the developement of Burgess Creek. I don't need a job, and want nothing to do with this asshole.

And now I will say that as a result of this threat, we all should stop complaining,

It isn't worth it to be threatened with personal injury, and it isn't right that the local police refuse to act on it.

So...no more letters to the editor, no more bitching about conservation lands. For everyones' personal safety we should just walk away from this.
