Following is a letter we received via e-mail this afternoon Thursday June 1st 2006. We have posted it here in the hope that anyone who was Josh's friend will have the opportunity to express their condolences.
It is with a brokenheart that I write this email. Early
this morning, with his best buddies by his side, Josh passed away from internal
complications. I don't know everyone who I am sending this to, and I am sure
that there are people whom I have missed. This is the only way I know how to
reach the people who reached out to my big brother. We are making funeral
arrangements today and now thinking I probably should have waited to contact you
all. When all is known I will send another email.
Please keep your prayers and thoughts with us.

Josh had been coming into our store for a number of years and we kept in touch via e-mail frequently, he liked to send jokes and keep us informed about his growing success. For those who didn't know, Josh suffered a debilitating car accident several years ago in which one of his best friends died and he lost the use of his arms and legs. Josh needed help with everything and yet he still embraced the life that he had, and this makes him a hero to us. It's always easier to look at our own lives and feel gratified when we look at the shoes someone else is wearing. Thank you Josh, for teaching us to fly.
