His Honorable Mayor Michael Harding Hereby Declares That Contrary To The Voices Of The Voters Scott MacDonald of 1792 Votes Should Sit On The Accessibility Advisory Committee Rather Than Allow James Bender 0f 2023 Votes To The Seat.
This Declaration Is Also True of the Environmental Advisory Committee In Which Ed Wiseman of 935 Votes Will Fill The Vacancy.

Although it is true that others have also been chosen to sit on these committees, through the results of the vote it is clear that Woodstock has chosen James over both MacDonald & Wiseman |

Regretfully, James will not be serving on any committees, and has been relegated to serving our community from the sidelines. It could be that Mr. Harding thinks that the Community Service Award that James received in October for helping to make the City more accessible to people with disabilities with regard to access, staff training requirements, signs & literature, just didn't measure up to his expectations of one who might represent the Accessibility Advisory Committee.

Perhaps Mr. Harding believes that James just hasn't worked hard enough on environmental issues to occupy the Environmental Advisory Board. Maybe things like organizing a group clean-up of the nature trails along Pittock Lake, or fighting against the non-essential use of pesticides with the Green Earth Campaign of Woodstock just don't qualify.

Could it be that Mr. Harding simply does not like James and uses his position of authority to administer to his personal affairs? Maybe Mr. Harding is angry about Jim's involvement with trying to uncover the Hydro Scandal of late, and is worried that with Jim that close, he might have difficulty hiding his dirty laundry.
