Why Weren't We Invited?

Tuesday January 10, the first in a series of local federal political debates took place in Norwich. Notably, the Marijuana Party was not in attendance. This is not due to a lack of interest on our behalf, but rather the desecration of democracy by fascists who believe that only people with opinions similar to theirs' should be heard. As such, we were not invited, by the administrators to attend last nights meeting.

The Marijuana party is a legitimate federally registered political party in this country and has been so for over 10 years.

I find it totally reprehensible that we and everyone we represent have been excluded from a democratic process for which we legitimately paid and registered to be a part of.

The following letter of support sent into the Sentinel Review by Zoe Kunschner of the NDP was published on January 24/06 following the election. Although the letter was sent into the newspaper prior to the election, the Sentinel, apparently did not think it would be fair to publish the truth about political corruption until after the election. They did, however, see fit to make mention of our absence in their January 11/06 edition without so much as consulting us. Please read on:

The Woodstock Sentinel-Review — Just to keep the record straight. Jim Bender of the Marijuana Party would have enjoyed joining in. He was not there, because he was not invited.

James Bender of the Marijuana Party would like to commend Zoe and the NDP for their support of the democratic process.
