Let's Roll Again

On December 23, 2003, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled that Parliament has the constitutional right to prohibit cannabis possession using the criminal law. Therefore, it is no longer relevant to use the courts to try and change this country’s unjust laws. From now on, cannabis activists will have to get their act together on the POLITICAL scene.

Are You Ready To Roll Again?

When it comes to marijuana who isn't ready to roll again. Thanks to everyone who came out and voted in 2004. You made Oxford County the largest voice for legalization in Canada. And, as it would seem that another election is forth coming, we need your support again!

Although Oxford had the highest turn out for voters of the Marijuana Party, take a look at last year's results (below), look around you and then tell me if you think that it is reasonable for the Christian Heritage Party to have received more votes than the Marijuana party. Surely there must be more pot supporters among us than Christians?

What could be the reason for this obscurity? I think the biggest problem is complacency. Traditionally pot smokers have a habit of  just letting things be and not wishing to cause any disturbances. It is also easier to sit back with a big fatty than to go down to the polling station and do something many people aren't familiar with. Let me assure you that voting is quite a simple procedure. Most importantly If YOU don't vote, nothing will change.
