The Great Canadian Flip Off...an article by James Bender   Elections Canada Website : Information - Who's running - How to Vote...Everything you need to know...   Let's Roll Again On December 23, 2003, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled that Parliament has the constitutional right to prohibit cannabis possession using the criminal law. Therefore, it is no longer relevant to use the courts to try and change this country’s unjust laws. From now on, cannabis activists will have to get their act together on the POLITICAL scene.	Jim Bender: Oxford candidate Oxford County Rolled a Biggie! Saturday February 5th, 2005 Thanks folks for the spectacular vote of confidence!!! Jim Bender would like to say thank you for the people of Oxford in the past federal election. The results say it all...we rolled them!! With the spectre of a renewed national election debate on our horizon it is imperative that we form together now in the interest of legalization. GET ORGANIZED All people interested in the promotion of good use and sound legislation for Marijuana should come forward and offer their assistance in any way they can. We need people to organize and distribute leaflets, posters; whatever is necessary to take the present MP to task.(We are up against the former police chief of the city of Woodstock.) As we are not as flush with cash as the mainstream parties, we will require people to donate to the national party(it’s a tax write off) so that they may produce literature as required.(even time donations are good!) The social benefit of a repealed prohibition ranges from employment, to a diversified tax base from which future governments can draw on as a resource instead of the present liability system. If we all get together and put up a strong fight, we may have the opportunity to change the present prohibition to something more palatable to us who consume.
