Woodstock Sentinel Review
Thursday April 12, 2007
I read a story this morning where a report was made regarding some local teens
posting nasty stuff on YouTube and Facebook about Woodstock’s homeless people
and local disabled persons.
This is gross. I hope the parents of these individuals do something about it, as
it appears the local police cannot.
Perhaps these local morons should be held accountable in some other fashion.
Perhaps they will be rewarded by having a disabled child of their own. I can
only hope that never happens, as it would be of horrific consequence for the
disabled person themselves.
Perhaps make these immature brats sleep in a gutter for the night or eat rotten
garbage from a can on the street. Perhaps a brow beating from the parents of
every disabled person in the community is in order.
I hope I never run into them as I, a parent of a disabled child, would probably
not hold my cool for very long.
I’m disgusted these local teens would do this. I hope their parents are
disgusted with themselves as well. They are a product of what those parents
raised.
And these are the people that have our future in their hands? No thanks.
Perhaps this abuse of disabled persons and the abuse of homeless persons should
fall under Canada’s hate crime laws.
Several years ago I read a report that stated disabled and homeless persons are
the number one targets for violent crime in Canada. The actions of this group of
kids should be considered the “runner-up” to more serious offences.
Parents of minors who are surfing the Net should be required by law to ensure
their kids are acting in a responsible manner.
Like I said, I hope to never meet them. It would not be an exchange of
pleasantries at all.Godivas
