Although we have been more than a little disappointed with the election coverage, or lack thereof, provided by our local media, we encourage everyone to read anything they can get there hands on, before the big day, in order for you to make an informed decision. The best way for one to learn about their local candidates is to attend the debates. Under pressure these people really show their true colours. When I read the local reports I cannot believe the lack of coverage of these events. Many important points are discussed by each candidate, although the main focus always seems to concentrate on the 3 "Big Parties". This is non-democratic, and we urge you to examine all of your options!
